Domestic Engineer

I always think it’s funny and I giggle a little when I read on social media or other places that stay-at-home mothers and fathers give themselves the job title of Domestic Engineers.  While I do agree that what I do in our home for our family falls under what some describe as a Domestic Engineer, I just give myself the title of mom and wife.

I am the mother to three children, two British Labs and the wife of my love for 20 years.  We have an 18 year old son who attends LSU, a 17 year old son who is a senior in high school, and a 15 year old daughter who is a sophomore.  They are all the center of my life.  Our children are all very busy and keep us on our toes!  I wouldn’t change a thing, I love that our children are so involved in something that they are passionate about, a passion of many children in our area.  We have three soccer players.  Our oldest plays intramural  soccer at LSU as a goal keeper.  Unfortunately, the SEC universities in our area do not have men’s soccer.  Then our other two play on highly competitive soccer teams that travel and play regionally.  I love the sport and have for many years.

We also own a few homes that are investment properties.  Two are beachfront homes that we stay in when we are available and rent out during the peak seasons in the Gulf Shores, Alabama area.  Then we have two in New Orleans.  I manage and over-see every aspect of these homes.

Throughout my blog I will give updates on each part of my life and you will be getting to know all of us and our friends well.  Buckle up!
